In my last blog I mentioned how kind and cool were the students from Jugla schools 8 class. Well, today I had really really good experiences with also 9th and 7th grade from that school. They are just amazing kids! First of all – their English level is really good. The second thing is that they were really nice and positive, asked a lot of questions and were interested in Estonia and EVS. Also of course what do I like in Latvia and what is different here from my home. In the end of the lesson with 9th grade the class gave me map of Latvia with little post-its. Each student had to write down a place they would suggest that I should visit here. First thing when I got home from the visit, was to put the map up to my wall! In some places I have already been, in some places I was planning to go before I met them but some places are something new, so their help was definitely needed to give me the right direction. Thank you guys!

Now i have been 3 months as a volunteer in Klubs "Māja" and in Latvia. That time has been one of the most intense one in my life, this i can say for sure! Right now i am teaching estonian (greetings to all of the students - you are great!), giving photo lessons in Rigas Estonian school (for Latvian kids who speak perfect estonian! Amazing!), visiting schools to talk about EU, EVS and Estonia. At the same time we (Tobi and I) have some side tasks, like organizing different events and projects.

So, I have been in Latvia 1 month and 1 week already. The time has passed so so so quickly that is almost unbelievable! The first week was full of meeting people and getting to know the city of Riga. We had a really cool city game. We, Tobi and I, we were given envelopes with addresses to visit and the directions how to get there. We had the task to take also pictures of things we see in Riga that indicate to our countries. So, we got to know the city and the public transportation (and also a bit from Latvian history) system pretty well. Now, month later, I still pass some places with bus or tram and think «Oh, we were here during the city game«.
